Foundational approach

Five Element Acupuncture

Idalee's foundational approach looks for balance in body, mind, and spirit, with attention to the movement of the seasons.

Moving with the seasons

Idalee describes Five Element acupuncture as Taoist in nature. The approach considers how our bodies and emotions move in relationship to nature, and how imbalance may leave us feeling physically or emotionally stuck.

One person, not a template

The Five Element lens helps Idalee understand the person in front of her. Treatment decisions are individualized and discussed directly with each patient.

With the help of Five Element acupuncture, Idalee looks for the root cause of a symptom and crafts an individualized treatment plan to address your symptoms in a way that allows your body to heal itself and stay healed. This approach takes time and patience, but it allows your body to do the work it was born to do.

Seasonal reflections

The site's journal gives Idalee a place to publish writing and video as the seasons turn. It extends the practice's core idea beyond the treatment room without presenting general education as personal medical advice.
